We took Joey to a tricks training class, I wanted to learn the proper way to teach him a trick. I have since found this online guide, and it has written instructions as well as a video. The important thing is to make training fun. A 5-10 minute session done twice a day is better than one long session. I use Joey's regular food for training, and when I announce, "School time," Joey comes running. This site has specific techiques on how to teach tricks. Dog Tricks! Shake, Crawl, Beg, Kiss, Roll Over, Bow, and more!. This site has just general information on learning theory, if you are interested in learning the terms, and the why's and how's to train.
