It is never too late or too old to teach your dog new tricks or commands.

I've got a 13+ girl that I've recently re-trained to potty on pads indoors, (she has some health issues and needs to be able to go whenever she feels) she has been outdoor trained her whole life. It took some time, but she has gotten it. '
And she is learning new commands as well

My 3+ yr Yorkie is still learning new tricks and still wants to

The point is, with patience and perserverance, kindness, love, and reward(and lots of it ), you can teach them anything and the more time you devote to it, the more you get out of it and the stronger the bond with your pet (baby )

Heres a good site for training info
