One thing I still don't understand though, is why she couldn't be placed in a rescue. Presumably you are suing for the costs you incurred, offset by any adoption fees or sale proceeds. I would guess you could also sue for the time and inconvenience of re-homing her. So why does it matter if she is sold or if she goes to a rescue?
