I think it is everyone's personal preference.
My Yorkies, like the Crested, get cold. They don't have an undercoat. They also love to be WARM at night when they sleep. I like to make them happy..... and it just so happens that what I choose to solve those issues..... are cute little sweaters and t-shirts.

The Yorkie Breed is a great exciting and very agile little dog. But because of their size, I take a little more precaution and "keep them out of danger". A big dog could critically hurt one of this size. Not to mention that it is a sad situation that people target these little dogs and STEAL them. Who wants their beloved family pet taken from them?

I don't know if this answered your question, but hopefully it helps you understand........ they aren't human, we know that, but it pleases us to take care of them the way we do.
