Ok, just for the record I'm not saying I like it- and I'm not saying I dont.

I <3 dogs, big and small, cute and (what some people consider ugly).
I don't care if it's pure or mutt...but I belive in-

fixing all mutts. to have healthier dogs and decrese those in shelters.
adopting from a shelter and not buying.
not putting clothes on them...expecially booties. (unless ofcoarse it's a chineese crested and it's cold outside (they need a simple sweater))

So basically I'm asking, how do most treat their dogs? Why do the dog's HAVE to have a certain cut? Do you have to crop/dock certain breeds? What is it for- to judge how well groomed/good looking your dog is?

If so. I personally love the old time, don't matter if it's a mutt, run around the dirt kinda dog. Why have we humanized our dogs so much? What's the point?
