I am glad your considering another yorkie! I got Moose shortly after Izzy passed and it has helped me heal greatly. People told me that if I got the same breed it would remind me of Izzy but it does not really. Their personalities are different enough in that it doesn't. He has brought me so much joy and he has made it easier to cope with her passing. Good luck on your search!
P.S. It's hard to say what gender to get because I think it depends on the dog. Like I love Moose and Izzy in different ways.
Izzy- Slept through the night (does not wake me up at 5am like Moose does), she was very docile
Moose- loves loves loves to play, likes both toys & bones (izzy only like bones), gets along great with are other dog (Izzy did not)
