I've only had one dog, and he is male. My roommate has a female puppy... not a Yorkie though. It's hard for me to say since I really don't have much experience with female dogs, and I'm sure their personalities are dependant on the dog... But if I had to pick again I would probably pick a male. A lot of people had said they don't like the whole leg-lifting thing... I actually love it! I think it so adorable. And he only does it when he is outside.
