I am a hairdresser and I say get dog clippers for dogs. I loaned a very expensive ($500) pair of my hair clippers to a lady once thinking she was going to cut her husbands hair. To my horror when she brought them back they would not cut hair. I took them in to be repaired and they were ruined. Packed completely inside with poodle hair

. It had gotten in so bad it had burnt the motor up and the blades were dulled beyond repair. So evidently there has to be a difference in the way the clippers are made for human and dogs.
