I'll say -- 5 weeks unattended outside? What were the owners thinking -- never mind, obviously they were not thinking. But still that is no excuse for the theft.
After reading this story and the one where someone came to see the puppy and walked off with it, I am beginning to wonder if I should meet prospective buyers somewhere else when I get ready to sell my puppies. But then that would make me look like I didn't want people to see where and how the puppies lived. This is going to be more difficult than I imagined. It seems like I might need my own security people! Life would be so much easier if we could all just trust each other.
