However, You are clearly only hearing one side of the story. You have never spoken to me nor have you ever exchanged any emails with me.
1. Brenda never asked me for vet documents that state that the disease is genetic. We never asked our doctor to "write that this was genetic" on paper. However, she and all the specialists we have talked to have stated that this is genetic. I've asked my mom to ask the vet to "WRITE" this in paper so we can easily scan it and email to Brenda as proof. We will also have plenty of paper work after the surgery that we will happily send her.
2. I'm glad your experiences with brenda have been great. It's interesting though because I included my email address in my original post. I am getting private messages from others who have purchased Brenda's puppies and also seemed concerned by them. Looks like I'm not alone here. But I am standing by my best judgement and want to make anybody that is considering one of Brenda's puppies in the future to be aware of what I am going through, not just with the genetic disease, but also with the way we have been treated.
3. Brenda has not provided me any facts that state this disease is NOT genetic. I have also asked for her vets contact info. so I could call him/her and get his point of view on this. She has not provided me with this.
4. If this is not genetic, why is brenda offering to replace my puppy? Her story is confusing and inconsistent, not mine. Also, what would she do with my little puppy if she took him back? Fix him with surgery or put him down? If she fixed him with surgery the cost of replacing my puppy would be much more than paying for the surgery of my puppy. I've asked her this question numerous times, with no response. NONE.
5. In fact, I have asked her NUMEROUS questions and she brushed over all of them. She didn't know about the disease and the fact that Yorkshire Terriers are one of the most common breeds to get this. WHAT? EDUCATE YOURSELF ON YOUR BREED BEFORE YOU BRING SICK PUPPIES INTO THIS WORLD!
6. I have addressed and answered EVERY SINGLE QUESTION Brenda has asked me. I have just read through all of my email exchanges with her. I answered every question she had, and again, she ignored most of mine. Hmmm seems fishy?
7. Also about my comment that states: LCP is believed to be an inherited disease, although the mode of inheritance is not known. Because there is a genetic component, it is recommended that dogs affected with LCP not be used in breeding programs. What more info. do you want to prove this is GENETIC. Show me an article that says LCP is believed to be caused by injury and that will be an argument. Also please read the second sentence of the comment "BECAUSE THERE IS A GENETIC COMPONENT" Come on "dude" stop living your ignorant bliss!!
8. I'm sleeping well at night knowing that I'm doing the right thing here. Nobody deserves to go through what me and my family have been dealing with.
9. You are not in my shoes or not dealing with anything I am dealing with. Until you are, don't judge. You don't know me. I know Brenda and I know my puppy, I know the way he is treated, I know my vets, and I've educated myself about this disease. I know that there is no doubt that this has been caused by GENETICS! Get your facts straight.
10. Thanks for the concern for my puppy, when all is said and done, he's the only thing that matters out of all this mess. I'll keep you updated on his progress. Please keep him in your thoughts! | Again - an assumption - I am neither friend or foe with Brenda nor you - I was merely pointing out the facts. I know you are emotionally over this as anyone would be. Just try to stick with the facts and keep the facts straight as that will be the most important thing here. |
