I was in the vet for an x-ray this week too. My vet did say that Frontline has been found to be safe for pregnant females *but* she does not like to recommend anything like that for a pregnant female. She felt safer suggesting I use PERT PLus shampoo. She said it is not a pesticide but the fleas cannot live after a bath with that. That seems safer to me too. I have not tried it myself because I only found 1 flea a few weeks ago, so she should be fine until after the pups arrive. I have the same outlook on giving a chemical like Frontline, so that helps me to trust my vet (as we have the same opinion on medicating pregnant female) Good luck, I already gave my girl her last bath because she doesnt like baths very much and I don't want to stress her any more than she already is right now. If your girl likes baths and will not be stressed about them , then I would try Pert.

Oh and I wish you the best with your upcomming litter, i hope you have a safe and quick whelp!
