Pooch Pad - Dog.com
I agree! PetSmart washable pads are terribly expensive. My mom actually made me some and I just put them on top of the potty trays and the fabric gets clipped on the sides just like the disposable. I had two dogs that tore up the disposable ones and as soon as I put a new one in, and turn around they had it out playing tug of war with it. I went through the tearing up stage for awhile - I don't know how, but I learned to laugh about it (not the cost of getting more though-that wasn't funny! lol)

Anyway, it does get better. I feel for you though, I had two peeing and pooping on the floor. I went to Home Depot and bought a 6X9 of the vinyl flooring (about $25) and put that on our floor-we have tile on our floor but I didn't want them peeing on that. So then I put the 4X8 expen over the vinyl tile and then put their potty tray(2) in there with the washable pads. I finally had to sit down far enough away from them not to play with me but waited for them to start playing and every time they went toward the pad to chew it up, I would in a firm and louder voice than I use and tell them "NO!" and then give them a treat when they walked away. Within about a week, they quit tearing them up. But it took me awhile to actually do this... I just "put up with it" for awhile, I have no idea why. I started Friday night after work and then worked with them Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday and they got the idea. Then once or twice that next week, they tore up the pads during they day while I was at work, but I would say within that next week working with them in the evenings and that next weekend - they got the idea. You might try getting something strong while she's teething.. Like some strong denim material and tie knots in the ends, soak in water and freeze it and put that in her area while you are at work. I hope this helps. If you need any other info or ideas, feel free to PM me and I'll give you my telephone number and you can call me. I feel for you, I honestly do! Just be glad that you don't have 2 yorkies doing it! lol One is definitely hard enough.
