Or even your local pound does this, they do here in NY.
My daughter had her pug done for $50.00at the humane society and I paid 325.00 for my Yorkie at my vet's.
I don't think you will recoup your money. I would be more interested in
getting her spayed and into a new forever home at minimal charge.

I have called my local humane society and was told they were booked months out. I can't keep her that long. I just can't. With her disposition, it's really complicated things around here.
I explored Friends of Animals for low cost spay but they don't have participating vets in my area.
Don't worry, if it's possible, it'll be done prior to placement.
