For a 5 month old, you can't exercise/walk him for too long at a time or so I was told by my vet when mine was a pup. Multiple walk/play sessions are okay but just not too long at a time, they need the rest in between as they are still a pup. In general, I walk mine about an hour a day since weather has been nice-mine is going to be 3 years old soon. We play maybe anywhere from 30mins-1 hour collectively all day. Usually, after the walk he really doesn't want to play until he has enough rest and nap in the afternoon. I only have 1 Yorkie so it is nice to see him meet other small dogs outside and get some mental and physical simulation at the same time.
