It just breaks my heart when people don't do the right thing, especially someone who breeds Yorkies!
I agree that the best course of action is a 24-hour cool-off period, and an attempt to rehome her for a fee, then the buyer and seller splittling the losses (i.e. the seller refunding that portion on the loss to the buyer).
I'd say that if you are honest about her, you could ask for $400 as an adoption fee.
You may need to look in to putting her on some rescue sites. |
I was thinking $350 - $400 on either a spay contract or whatever I could work out with my vet. I know the humane society does low cost spays, so I'll check with them tomorrow but last I knew, they were booked WAY out.
I would be nothing but honest about her and her disposition. I don't want anyone to have to go through what I'm going through right now. And I really don't think it's fair that I'm being treated as the bad guy when I'm the only person in this transaction that's willing to do the right thing.
Do you have any rescue sites that you would recommend me contact? It's been a few years since I was involved in dog rescue so I'm kinda out of connections here.
