Close calls are scary. Especially when you have purebred dogs that everyone wants at the moment. Like yorkshire terriers, chihuahuas or American pit bull terriers.
I had a close call with my APBT a while back. I let her outside so she could play and use the bathroom. Usually, I'm right there to watch her while she's outside. Well, this day, I stepped inside for a minute thinking "I'll only be gone a minute..." and, when I stepped back outside... these two really shady guys were reaching over my fence and had a hold of her collar.

So, I said "Hey, let her go or I'm calling the cops!" And they took off faster than a greyhound chasing a rabbit.
That about scared the heck out of me. Since then, I don't leave any of my dogs outside unsupervised.
