Dogs Rescued From Newton County Puppy Mill Ready for Adoption
By KSPR News
Story Created: Mar 25, 2009
More than 200 dogs rescued from an Ozarks puppy mill last month are ready for you to adopt them.
The dogs were dehydrated and living in their own feces when investigators rescued them from Newton County's J and B's Precious Puppies facility in February.
Since then more than 5,000 people requested to adopt the dogs.
Thursday you'll have your first chance to browse the available puppies.
The Humane Society of Missouri will hold an adoption preview at its St. Louis City location Thursday.
The event goes from noon to 7 p.m.
It's a long drive to St. Louis, so if you can't make the trip, the Humane Society will have pictures of all the dogs on its website.
The link won't be available until noon Thursday. As soon as it's available we'll have a link on KSPR.com.
The deadline to apply to adopt the dogs is Sunday.
