I agree you are not alone. I trained my yorkie to ring a bell to go outside. We have a fenced in yard but I usually go with her. She wants a treat when we go back in. Sometimes she will ring the bell, run around the corner and run back real fast without doing a thing, but will beg for the treat. I give her a shake of the head and no treat. I love the bell but she has hit that bell 20 times in a hour and I swear its to just see how many times she can make me get up.
