I have two cats and I keep their food in our laundry room and Silvia's food in her crate. We keep a little partition in the doorway of the laundry room, so Silvia can't eat the cat food. We found that out the hard way though, because she kept throwing up and we couldn't figure out why until she threw up dry cat food one day! Now, the other way around, I can't find a solution for. We keep Silvia's crate door open for her because her food and litter box are in there, and the stupid cats eat her food and throw up sometimes. Any suggestions on that? LOL
