I have to agree. I've seen some known Yorkie rescues charge this for an older Yorkie and for pups $750 or more. To me that is a lot, but I chalk it up and hope that the $$ is actually being used for the ones left behind. I don't find $500 to much for a pup. You have to consider if you were buying one you would pay at least that plus the vetting and neutering/spaying of the pup. In NJ the cost to neuter or spay is around $300 -$350 the vet visit itself around $55 and then the shots. I got my Lilly at 13 weeks old from a rescue and paid $400 for her which included everything. To me that was a steal. My concern for the little guy is that he ended up in the hands of a reputable rescue that will ensure he goes to the home he deserves. Elaine
