My girls all get the baboon butt clip. I use the scissors to keep it really clean and close. I used one of those little shavers on Candy once and she got razor burn so i stopped that.
It they get any poo stuck on their hair, i just take a paper towel and wet it down and give them a little cleaning that way. They always have good solid poos so it usually isn't a problem unless they have a thread or other unidentifiable object they have digested
