well we do both and it seems to work pretty good we have all 3 of ours sleep with us and they just are so darn snuggley i wouldnt want it any other way .ours have a big beautiful homemade dog house right in our master bedroom witch they play in rather than sleep in .but we have just got a new baby last night she is 10 weeks old and we are crate training her before we get bedtime priveleges and we want no accidents lol.And when our oldest Sadie wants to sleep in the laundty basket it just doesnt seem right .but if ours have to they will sleep in there on beds .
