Hi everyone!
I recently found out that my 7 month old Vegas has LCP in both Legs, LCP is short for Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease, he will require surgery within the week. I have only had my baby for 3 months but have become attached already. I have contacted the breeder where he was purchased and the only thing she is willing to do is replace the dog with another one.
In these case I asked her what would happen to Vegas and she said he would be put down
I could NEVER let that happen; I then asked her if she would be willing to split the surgery with me since it over 2000.00$ but again she refused. I am soo upset and need advice of anyone that is familiar with this disease and how the process works and the healing time of the animal. I know the vet said it will take around 3-6 months but would greatly appreciate anyones advice on the whole situation.
