I had to bring my friend's Shih Zu today to Animal Hospital. She is admitted to the hospital. It costed 1200 dollars. Then I started wondering about dog insurance. I would like to get a yorkie one day, but I think I would have hard time paying 1200 if the dog ever gets sick..

How much do you pay monthly for the insurance and does it cover good for your yorkie? I am checking different sites and getting quotes but I thought I should ask you all.
