I had a series of 4 chemical peels done at my dermatolgist's office (I would have no one else do ii!) and I am absolutely thriilled with the results of my skin. I have my glow back again and my skintone is all even now. I did one a month and for about a week each time it was yucky - red for the first day and then the peeling started. I am also prone to cold sores and getting chemical peels will sometimes bring them out in you so prior and during the week of the peel I was given Valtrex and I did not get any coldsores.
The home peels like from Prescriptives is fine but you won't get the results you are looking for unless you go to a board certified dermatologist.
