i'd have to say that i've never encounterd an agressive pit bull, and growing up in the deep south, I've been around them all my life. I've owned a rotty and she was the sweetest thing. I agree that some breeds do have a tendency to be agressive it seems. But I think the agressiveness is the responsibility of the *owner* not the dog. I've seen agressivness in alot of breeds. I'll rarely approch a chi, chows can tend to nip and bite, I have friends of a cocker spaniel who can't take her anywhere. I think the real danger of these dogs is their size, and when owning a dog with such brute strength, as opposed to a toy sized animal, an owner should take extra precaution. |
