Eventually it won't be a little dog it goes after. Next time it might be a child. Or the dog of someone who'll retaliate in a not good way.

I was attacked by a german shepard in our neighborhood when I was 9. It was an aggressive dog the woman kept chained in the yard beside the road where children passed all the time. She'd been warned and it was just my misfortune to be the one it got ahold of. By the time I got out of the hospitial (a week long stay, over 200 stitches and a surgery) she had moved, taking her dog with her. The new neighbors weren't as understanding and after another attack the dog was mysteriously hit by a truck. It wasn't really the dogs fault it was hers ......
