I took him immediately to the vet, just some minor air pockets in his chest, bruising, shock and on watch in case of abscess. He is somewhat of a whiney baby (imagine that) so he is acting very pitiful, although I know he is sore. Now the neighbor came over late last night to check on him and tells me the german shepherd does this to her shih tzu's all the time. She apologizes, offers to pay and tells me the dog is an attack dog. Now I also own 2 attack dogs and we take the necessary prescautions to have them in an 8 foot double locked fence. She has no sign up saying beware (which is the law) etc....I am not trying to cause a situation or make it legal here but I am a little upset still. I like the neighbors they are great, but what should I do as far as keeping the distance from these people? I dont want to be rude, but I am honestly scared. We were literally in my garage when this happened. I do know Ill never take him out front again. Any suggestions please?
Sorry to hear this, but, not all shepherd are "attack dogs". Mine is going on 3 and the most loveable shepherd I've ever been around, and I would NEVER allow it to be mean. If mine every did that one time, it would be at the shelter in a heartbeat.
