My puppy used to do this, I started putting my dirty shirt in his crate the night before and he'd eventually stop. As he got older he started doing it again whenever my morning alarm went off. He'd bark, cry and pout. I just ignore him and he stops after a few minutes but it took time. At first he would cry and bark constantly. I would leave him in the crate until he'd stop, which used to take up to an hour. He eventually learned that barking and crying doesn't do him any good. It just takes persistence....being even more stubborn than a Yorkie is hard! |
