Oh yeah! I think it was you who I got this idea from a month or two back! We had tried dried chicken, yorkie yummies, and a few other things as potty treats, and Nikko ate all of them happily, but not exactly ravenously. But it was when we started using peanut butter chips that Nikko shaped up real fast! The second potty trip outside after we'd started feeding him peanut butter chips as treats, he peed three tiny pees in a row to get three treats. Little bugger! We started having to break the little chips into thirds because he was so excited to potty outside all the time. But it just shows how well they work, IMO. Within a week or two of starting to use peanut butter chips, Nikko began his current over a month long streak of no potty accidents!!!!
I think it is very useful to use a specific treat that is only for outside potties, not for anything else. And make sure it is your dog's absolute favorite treat. Liver or chicken sounds like a great idea as well, but our refridgerator is on the other side of the house from the potty door, so refridgereated treats were kinda out of the question for us. We keep our little bag of PB chips up on a bookshelf right next to the potty door, grab two every time we take Nikko outside (the second one is for if he poops), and just put them back if he doesn't do any business on that trip. It is working great. Thank you TLC!
