Yeah... I don't understand the US at all...
My husbands ex-wife doesn't work. It's not like she can't... she's just too effing lazy. She has two kids (one from my husband, and another from her current husband -- who, conveniently, ALSO doesn't work) and they got thousands of dollars of an income tax refund this year. My husband's son is a sick little kid and receives money every month from the state. It goes to her since she's the primary caregiver. (Enough to pay rent on a decent place to live) Not to mention child support from my husband... Ok, she has things to take care of at home, sick kid, new kid (although she's never worked a day in the last 7 years)... but her husband doesn't work either...? Oi.
Is the american dream to sit on your a** and collect as much money you can from whoever you can? It really seems like it.
