I definitely do not recommend you giving her free roam. Cassi was the same thing. I kept her in the bathroom when I was away at work and she would make a mess....poop and pee everywhere...and I literally had to wash her paws every single day and wipe her down since she got it on herself. On top of that, I had to scrub the floor down and then pour the Odor Remover liquid to remove the pee smell. In any case, when I was home I kept on reinforcing her to go to potty on her wee wee pad and sure enough about a few months later NO MORE MESS. So now she has the bathroom and whole hallway to herself when we're not home.
If anything, you might want to lay out more wee-wee pads. Try leaving 2 wee-wee pads by the doorway and then another wee-wee bad in the middle of the bathroom. That might help somewhat. Just note that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck!
