It's evening now. I'm sitting on my bed with my computer on my lap, watching my favorite TV programs. Gus finally settled down, & is sleeping next to me. This repeats pretty much daily.

If I add a Yorkie, might the new one not want to settle down, e.g., sleep, & thus disturb this routine? I love to socialize with Gus, but this quiet time is nice too.
