Well! I absolutely LOVE the iMac! It's wonderful! Some reasons why? Well, it's a lot more reliable (IMO), macs very rarely get viruses..and I mean VERY rarely!, it doesn't require as much memory to run (RAM), there are less bugs, I find it a lot easier to use. It just works every time, you know with a PC using windows you sometimes get those silly errors that you are like..hmm??
what??!, well the mac doesn't get those! never any driver errors and such either!
We have the largest screen (24") and it is awesome! We sometimes even watch movies on it, even though we have a larger television! It is so beautiful, looks a lot nicer than a PC screen! I love the aluminum look! Plus, with aluminum, it also makes it a lot more environmentally friendly, which is a definite plus!
I'm not into the photo editing and music making, which macs are mostly used for, but I find it a lot better than a PC. There are tons of applications that are really cool to fool around with if you have the time. And don't worry about finding programs that you use that are compatible! They are there! It will last you a very long time also, you won't have to buy a new computer for a while! It is expensive up front, but I think it's definitely worth it!
