Sweetlips6 - Actually, it sounds like you are doing really pretty well! So many people let their pups just run around the house free, and just hope that they'll figure out where to pee eventually... But it sounds like you are gradually giving Bonnie more room - first the bathtub, then the bathroom, and now she's doing her business in the right place in the bedroom too? That sounds GOOD!

For the first few weeks of Nikko's life, he was confined to an area in our kitchen about the size of a large garden tub. And then until he'd been with us for about a month and a half (maybe more), we had only expanded his area up to about the size of a large bathroom. But we, like you, spent as much time as humanly possible with him in that area, and trained him as best we could, and he could never leave that area unless he was on our lap, in his crate, or outdoors leased with us. The key is definitely to expand in super-small increments.

I'm sorry to hear about your husband, and it sucks but there are gonna be some slip-ups. I hope he can handle it... and you can too. In my opinion, the best thing you can do right now is to exercise the ever-loving life out of Bonnie at every opportunity - take her on super long walks, I'm talking hours, every day. I wholeheartedly believe that the only "good" puppy is one who is asleep. Puppies who are asleep aren't chewing on stuff and ruining it. And if you haven't yet, get her some bully sticks to chew on! They are doggie-licious, are totally safe, and best of all, they are not your wall/closet/drywall.

Good luck, and we're here for you. Complain as much as you want :-) And we'll support you, and hopefully attempt to help as best as we can... I can't imagine how difficult raising a puppy would be without the help and support of my DH - you are an amazing mom.
