Could it have been too tight and caused a sore on her scalp? what should i do? Take her back to the groomers so they can look at it, put vaseline on it and it will soften and eventually fall off, or does this require a trip to the vet? She is getting spayed next friday and i dont want anything to get in the way of that! Although im soooo nervous about this whole spaying thing! |
I think I would take her back to the groomers; they need to know that they should not put topknots in that tight. Joey's breeder said that you should always loosen the topknot a little, and she suggested putting a medal comb between scalp and band, others have suggested using a rag tail comb to loosen knot. It the topknot is too tight, blood circulation can stop and the skin and hair follicles can die. This causes a permanent black bald spot. Good luck with the spay!
