I think even human males will agree that peeing is more fun when there's something to aim at, and it certainly motivates them to be more accurate! The only issue some have had is that their boys decide that the rock-filled soda can is a toy that needs to be drug around around the room, not a stationary object that's convenient to pee at... dunno how Thor would feel about it, but I suppose you could try it. Then I guess you'd just rinse it off every so often? Ha - I don't know. :-)

Fake pees are funny, and I think it's awesome that Thor is catching on so well that he has developed the idea to try faking. After we caught on that Nikko was starting to fake, we never rewarded them and his fakes diminished quickly (though he still tries one every once in awhile, just to keep us on our toes). I don't have any idea what to do about the excess of tiny pees though... Nikko does the same thing. If he's bored and I'm not paying as much attention to him as he wants, he'll go ring the bell every few minutes to be let out (if the door isn't open), and he'll pee for me almost every time too, but only teeny bits. I'm at a loss too.

It's only been today, our day 30, that I've finally gotten brave enough to ignore some of his bell rings when I am 110% positive he's already pooped and he must have already gotten all his pee out thanks to five outside trips in the 10 minutes before, lol. If you really want to do something, maybe give him a bit of food as his treat occasionally instead of his tasty treats, but at this stage I would be scared to stop treating at all for any of his "good" pees. We just started giving YYs occasionally for potty treats instead of the peanut butter chips all the time, and I hope to gradually switch over to his food maybe? I don't know, we'll see.

You always have such great advice. I am such a nerd, I would love to put a little fire hydrant on the pad, heh. I think Thor's accuracy is good enough for now, though. I'll just have to make sure to wipe the floor with Nature's Miracle regularly, jic.

That's a great idea about giving him kibble for tiny pees. I agree with waiting until the 30 days are up to start downgrading the treats. Thor is now a kung fu pee master! I can't believe I thought just a few weeks ago that he might not ever get it. I hope I'm not jinxing myself.
