This doesn't sound like an allergy. Sounds like he's so stressed out when you are gone that he chews until he bleeds. My oldest male T.J. does this but not to that degree. He chews his feet and paws when he is stressed. In June of 2007 he had cancer surgery and was in the hospital for 10 days and he has done this more since that. He's become an extremely nervous dog
