Hi! welcome to YT. I am a new Yorkie owner too. My baby Sophie is now 6 mths. old. When I purchased her she was just shy of 12 weeks and weighed 2.1 lbs. She is now 6.7 lbs. I'm finding that weight of these dogs is not a science. The rule of thumb I read about was weight at 12 weeks then double that. But my new Vet (WHO I LOVE!) mentioned to me when she seen Sophie on Saturday that she will be around 10 lbs. She told me 4 mths of age and double that weight? So who knows. It doesn't matter. They grab your heart so quickly you don't care if their big, little, green, purple or inside out. You're just "in love". Enjoy YT! There are so many fabulous people on this sight, you'll be amazed. I'm glad my husband found this sight!
