I forgot where I saw it but a lawyer (some random one just commenting on the case) said that although Rihanna's lawyer said she would testify if subpoenaed it doesn't mean anything. She can be subpoenaed, but can refuse to take the stand, because she was the victim and CA law states that the victim does not have to be subjected to the stand during a trial. She has a right to be protected as a victim. Although the police statement would not be admissible w/o her taking the stand they can still find him guilty by putting the responding officers on the stand and using the photos as evidence. Along with the txt msg he sent one of her assistants: admitting his guilt.
