Dogs sense certain things and I truly believe they have an instinct on good and bad people?

During a trip over the weekend Schatzie was touched and close to many strangers. She seemed fine with everybody EXCEPT for this stinky dirty rude man in a wheel chair. Schatzie and I were taking a break on a park bench enjoying the warm day. This man in a wheel chair came up to us and stopped to talk. At first things were fine, but then the man got rude and I tried to be polite in my signs of "trying to ignore him." Soon after that Schatzie turned around to him and growled and barked very meanly. The man kinda got snotty towards her and she only became more angry at him.

I don't know if she sensed me not likeing him or she knew on her own, either way she wanted that man away from her. Luckily my husband showed up and kindly removed us from him!
