I don't think there is any reason not to change her name. It's the sound of your voice, expressing what you want or feel, that makes the difference.

Get someone to help with leash training. They can start her out with you at some distance away. Call her name, & she'll walk to you unaware of the leash. Or you can walk ahead, & she should follow.
