i have had 2 furkids shipped to me...one was a relatively short flight and my baby was 8-9 weeks old...he did great! i took him out of his crate at the cargo area of the airport where i picked him up, and he gave me kisses and seemed so happy...no accidents in the crate either

the one who had a long flight had pottied in his crate (he could not help it - he was about 4 1/2 months old)...he seemed a little scared when he came out for about 30 seconds...i got down to his level, spoke softly to him and petted him...within a minute he was trotting around like nothing happened he also did great!

i have mixed feelings about shipping...i would like to personally fly in and pick my babies up or get one from a breeder within driving distance but sometimes - for lots of different reasons - it is not possible

i also think it depends on weight and age of the furbaby and their personality...but i have read (and experienced) many stories where everything works out great!

congrats on your new baby! cannot wait to see pictures
