Joey got sick at about 4 months of age, with non-stop vomiting, as the only symptom. The emergency room gave him fluids, and we never did learn what the problem was, they were wondering about a spider bite, but couldn't find any evidence on the skin. They said that with a dog and all of its hair, it can be really difficult to find the bite. They thought perhaps he had eaten a spider, and it caused the vomiting.

Usually, if I find a spider in the house, I just take it outside because I've heard they are really good at eating other pests. However, I looked up the Brown Recluse Spider, you mentioned, and believe we may have them in Arizona. Not too long ago, I found a brown spider in a small plastic tub that was drying on the patio. Now, I'm mad that I didn't kill it, and instead just dumped it out. They sound like it could kill a dog.
