Honestly, I just signed up at
www.weightwatchers.ca (the canadian site, there is a U.S one as well) and followed their plan EXACTLY. I never cheated once. I started exercising once I went from 281 lbs down to about 230 lbs. I did 5-6 days of high intensity cardio, doing 30-60 mins worth on those days. Sometimes my cardio would be running, other times I'd use the machines at the gym. I did 20 min weight sessions on 2-3 days of the week. This was 10 mins of abs, and 10 mins of upper body weights. I despise strength training, so I kind of keep that to a minimum. I'd occasionally substitute one of my workouts for a session of Yoga or Pilates here and there. Now that I'm on maintenace, I don't work out quite as much, but I still do 3-5 days of cardio, and 1-2 strength training sessions per week.
If you decide that weight watchers is something that you'd like to start doing, I will do what I can to help you. There are also other ways to manage your food. You can count calories at
Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople and it's free. I just find weight watchers to be so much simpler. You don't need to start with the workouts right away. Just deal with the food issues first, then everything else will fall into place. Just PM me when you're ready!
