She will probably pass the rest of the placenta or she could have ate them. As a precaution you should take her to the vet to get examined and get a clean out shot. It can be very dangerous if they retain a placenta but in my 12 years of breeding I have never had that happen.
I am a bit curious about your statement that you had her studded out and you thought you might be off on the dates. Was she not in your possession when she was bred? I am just wondering if she was somehow bred before you thought she was and how that could have happened.
Now your challenge is to make sure momma gets plenty of food. You may have to hand feed her the first few days. Make sure she is eating 3 or 4 big meals a day. The last feeding should be right before bedtime. |
