well i never said they went hand in hand
... i just believe if you really think about it, ANY animal testing is "inhumane" if the animals will be exposed to anything remotely dangerous (which is the point of animal testing, right?) ... yes they should try to handle and treat them as humanely as possible but how humane is it really to expose them to anything we would not expose a fellow human to?
