Sorry, I am several countries south of DRC. But we have quite a number of Congolese refugees here. They speak the loveliest French and seem to be very nice people.
South Africa is actually the US of the African continent...we have quite a problem with illegal aliens here, people leaving other parts of Africa to come here, a land of peace and relative prosperity. Problem is, we have a 30+% unemployment rate among native South Africans, many of whom stand on street corners looking for ditch-digging or house-cleaning work, so we don't even have menial jobs for the illegals.
So, the situation in the Congo actually affects more than just the Congolese, as the refugees are being absorbed by other countries and impacting their fragile economies as well.
