I don't think that's normal! What shot was it? Rabies? I'd call the vet. I doubt it's a reaction to the vaccine, but you can't be too careful with vaccine reactions.
It's possible they hit a nerve or something like that when they gave the injection. At least I think that's possible - I've had it happen to me with a vaccine, and I was in a lot of pain for a few days.
Hopefully someone will come alone who has more insight on this....
