Keep the pamphlets in a shoe box at the door. When you have a pretty good collection the next person that knocks at the door listen to them but keep looking nervously behind them, then ask them to hold on. Get your box, hand it to them and tell them to please take the collection and promptly leave. Explain that your collection was from those who didnt make it out of the yard after trespassing and you dont want the same thing to happen to them. Rush them and tell them that hubby will be back from the store any minute and its a good idea for them to leave, in a hurry.
I don't think they will be back but if they are it should only take a few instances to prevent it. If they report you to the police, they have admitted trespassing, deny the interaction and promptly press charges because they admitted to being on your property uninvited and the bonus is that with that story, they are obviously nuts! The pamphlets they say you gave them would all be theirs from the weeks of harassment and when you ask the officer why you would have so many of the same thing they were passing out he will see they are obviously telling a story.
Another idea. They have these cameras that hunters use in spaces they hunt to monitor deer activity. Post one at your front door and turn it on each night. The flash will blind them and you have a great picture of your knocker. Should scare them enough to not come back. If they do, start posting the pictures around supermarkets with WANTED for trespassing....the smaller the town, the quicker this will work. The darn things will flash and flash with movement every so many seconds. LOL |
Wow, that's harsh. For the record, all you have to do to get rid of us bothersome JWs is this: Tell the next one that comes by your house to take down your name and house number and add you to the do not call list. We don't get paid to do this, we do it because we love other ppl. I understand that a lot of ppl don't agree with us, and may not understand why we do it. Also, if they come back after that, ask for their name and their elder's (preacher's) name and phone number. Inform them that you are going to call them to inform them that you are being harassed by said person. It will be taken care of, trust me. Also, if they come on your property when you have a no trepassing sign, call the police by all means if you want. We are told very clearly to NEVER go to a house with no trepassing sign, and that if we do, we do so at our own risk. They won't back us up when we do so. That being said, there are a few who decide to do things as they wish, and I apologize for their behavior. Just for the record, I've been coming here regularly for quite a while. My husband is a donating member here, and his account is set to sign in automatically, so I'm here most times under his name. He's not a JW though, so I didn't want to post this under his name.
